Advice

The following advice is current as of 6 September 2026 and applies to travellers to the Velocity Interoperability Network and to the staff of member organisations. It will be updated as circumstances change.

Before travelling to the Network
Ensure routine vaccinations are up to date and carry a record of them. Travellers arriving from outside the Network may be asked to present this record on arrival.
Medicines
Bring sufficient supply of any regular medicine for the length of your stay, in its original packaging, together with a copy of the prescription. Clinics can issue repeat prescriptions for staff and citizens but not for visitors.
Illness at work
Staff who are unwell should not attend the workplace. Report your absence to your organisation and, where the illness may be infectious, to the nearest Department clinic so that others at the site can be advised.
Long hours and screen work
Staff engaged in prolonged screen work should take a short break at least once an hour. Member organisations are expected to provide suitable seating, lighting and rest facilities.
Emergencies
In a medical emergency at a Network site, contact the site's emergency point immediately. Do not attempt to move a seriously injured person unless there is an immediate danger.
