Vaccination and Screening Programmes

The Health Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network runs vaccination and screening programmes to protect the staff of member organisations and the citizens of the Velocity Interoperability Network, and to make sure that those whose duties carry specified health requirements are fit for them. The programmes are provided without charge to those entitled to them.

Four programmes begin between 14 September and 5 October 2026. Their sessions are held at the Department's clinics and follow the schedule below. Activity under each programme is reported in the Department's statistical releases.

Routine vaccinations
Boosters and catch-up vaccinations against the standard schedule of diseases, for staff and citizens of the Network. Sessions are held weekly at every clinic from 14 September 2026.
Travel health programme
Advice and vaccination for staff travelling on Network duties and for travellers to the Network. Consultations are by appointment and take account of the traveller's existing record of vaccinations.
Occupational screening
Health screening for staff whose duties carry specified health requirements, including those working with certain materials or in safety-critical roles. Assessments are arranged through your organisation and held monthly from 21 September 2026.
Seasonal influenza programme
Annual vaccination against seasonal influenza, open to all staff and citizens. Sessions begin on 5 October 2026 and are held twice weekly at every clinic.

The programme schedule. Session frequency is the planned frequency for the opening months of each programme and will be reviewed in the light of demand.

How the programmes work. The steps below apply to every programme run by the Department.

  1. Step 1: Eligibility is confirmed

Those eligible are identified from the Department's registration records and from returns supplied by member organisations. Staff may also ask their organisation to arrange an assessment under the occupational screening programme.

  2. Step 2: An invitation is sent

Invitations are sent by email to the address held on the registration record. If your email address has changed, write to the Department so that the record can be corrected.

  3. Step 3: A session is attended

Attend the clinic session named in the invitation, or book an appointment where the programme is run by appointment. Bring your staff or citizen identification and your record of vaccinations.

  4. Step 4: The record is updated

Vaccinations and screening results are entered on the Department's record and may be relied on when a record of vaccination is asked for, including on arrival in the Network.

Questions about eligibility, or about a missed invitation, may be sent to contact@health.gov.vin. For health advice before travelling to the Network, see Advice; for answers to common questions, see the frequently asked questions.
